Krakow, It’s A Start

Wednesday, April 11
Kraków, Poland – 68ºF / 20ºC – Kinda chilly
Cafe near the Rynek / Stare Miasto / City Square

Summer is here! I mean Spring.. I mean.

Wait, what season is it?

According to locals this is the beginning of Summer.

To me, Summer is 100+ degree days, sweating.

Too much blinding sun and needing to drink water to prevent dehydration and death.

In Europe it means – Beauty! Life! Vigor!

So confusing. But I embrace it with open arms.

Just as I embrace Polish cuisine. So delicious. So many new menu items I don’t know the names of.

But today at the milk bar I ordered in Polish (because at milk bars they pretty much don’t make any effort to speak English to you).

It was mushroom soup and scrambled eggs with kielbasa. Delish.

Reading a book by Tynan called ‘Life Nomadic.’

I’ve been on the road for 2 years now and very much felt like I was receiving a master-class in how to travel.

Traveling light has always been my style.

But to do it well it really helps to have high-quality gear.

Mine has mostly been super-cheap and affordable.

Which goes to show – you can still travel and have a great time even if you’re not doing it “right.”

The “doing” is the most important part.

And the most important part of doing is the “starting” part.

Turns out, I’m very excellent at starting.

I’ve heard starting gets you 80% of the way there.

So thanks for reading because that’s what this is. A start.

See you later, alligator.
